Learning the Ropes with Jake Taylor
This beginners roping clinic is a 2-day introductory clinic for those learning to rope for the first time. You will have an opportunity to bring your own horse on the second day. You do not need a finished rope horse for this clinic. Our goal by the end of this clinic is for you to understand the basic steps that go into team roping, equipment, roping terminology and cattle.
Day 1:
You will learn the fundamentals of team roping, from roping the dummy from the ground.
Day 2:
Additional ground work, then we will move on horseback where you will rope a dummy steer learning body and horse position.
From new to seasoned riders and everyone in between, come on out for a fun and educational time at Paragon farms. Its going to be a great weekend!
